<p>Network Rail has produced a Rail Industry standard (RIZ 0745 CCS) following an ORR recommendation after the Cambrian incident.</p> <p>The ORR recommendation identified the need for an industry wide standard for the assurance of safety critical software, that is mandatory to all organisations within the rail industry including Network Rail competence.</p>
